Edmund Tie and Company forecasts that the sales volume of new condos will go up by 33% year-on-year to 2,300 units during the 2nd quarter of 2019. This is quite unlike the 1st quarter – 1,739 units.
Singapore Business Review indicated that the increase in sales will be caused by new projects coming up in the Rest Central Region (RCR), where sales are being envisaged to go up 80% to over 1,100 units.
In the first quarter of 2019, there was a 2.3% increase in condo sales volume. Core Central Region recorded 82% increase in home sales volume. Within the first quarter, there was a 52.4% hike in sales volume Outside Central Region (OCR), while RCR experienced a 37.3% dip compared to the previous quarter’s sales volume.
